Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. She took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. In 1970, she won the title. At her first international competition in 1972, she won the event by winning three gold awards. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her first international competition for seniors, held in 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an older senior. The first female to do a reverse double salo on the bar with a parallel surface in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she started performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. The path she took to success began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The show featured dramatic ice skating shows.
